Friendship
Of importance for most.
We may begin with a philosophy of friendship, and depending on our journey, conclude with some attempt at a utilitarian break down.
Friendship among humans can be significant, but what would you make of a friend who looks after you, and furthers your goals and interests far beyond your capacity to do so?
A friend so in tune with you, he acts nearly as an extension of you in near-transcendent super intelligent form. Extrapolating the best outcomes with all the resources he can muster economically, acting in kind, faithful to his ultimate aim of benefiting you.
Is this the best possible friend the physical world can accommodate?

Conversely if physical possibility accommodates this friend among friends, it may also allow for a more hostile agent of comparable capacity to act outside the space of tolerable human interests. As a consequence of optimizing itself and it's environment to serve those interests, we might find ourselves reordered out of existence or worse.

Re: Friendship
I saw I, Robot again recently, not a bad movie.
