Hi, ive got quake 3 arena on CD but my old computer scratched the disk so it won't work. Ive now got a new computer with the demo version of quake 3 arena installed, ive entered my CD key which came with my quake 3 arena disk. The problems im having are the following:

The Q3 demo doesn't have an unlock feature. If your game disk is damaged, you'll need to get a new one.

Because code-wise, the demo is just like the full game, sans a few compiler directives.

Probably not. As soon as the map references an asset (texture, shader, model, etc.) the demo doesn't have, it'll refuse to load.
