Texture options in gtk

Post by highlanderstl »

So, I'm currently using gtk 1.5 and

1) I'm not finding any way to have all the textures load, I have to select each folder to get the textures to load then press show all textures for me to get all the textures to load. There has to be an option somewhere that can shortcut this and just show all textures right off the bat? Just wanted to point out that Worldcraft (aka Hammer) had this feature.

2) I'm not finding anywhere to filter the loaded textures. If I want floors, it would simply just display textures for a floor, etc. Just wanted to point out that Worldcraft (aka Hammer) had this feature.

Currently, I unzipped all of my textures and have them sitting on the side. Then I have to use a search to do my filtering for me.

Any solutions to these items?

it should show all the textures right away. if not, just use ctrl+a and u for hotkeys. (u only showing the textures you're using from that folder)

There is a search field (at least there is in 1.4.0) but you have to enable it in preferences > texture settings > texture subsets.

was 1.5 suppose to be a downgrade for 1.4?

It was a complete rebuild of the code, resulting in elements getting lost on they way to be re-added at a later point. Guess some stuff either hasn't been added yet, or just forgotten along the way.

Does anyone realized that the last nightly build contained a new texture browser which supports tagging? A nifty tool if you ask me :)

For the interested:

And the documentation on the new ETB:

This is great. Already tagged the best textures for layout-tests and decals. :)
