Need for speed - Pro street
Has Anyone been playing this?
At the beginning it toss's ya into a S13 Hatch.. and man, it felt like my S13 coupe.. Understeered like hell, then to switch things up puts in an Extreme amount of Oversteer towards the end of the turn to make up for it :/
so far though, No real complaints.
anyone else enjoying this Hyped-game?

yea,
Just finished the first heat of races, Man they made the MKv GTI rather Ass-happy... But, it was decent..
they incorperated the Forza-esque Racing lines that turn Red when you are going in to hot.
Though, this Game was made for a Console, The burn out for the 1/4 mile events need a throttle that you can regulate rather than tapping Forward/w for all or not.
and steering is more of the same, pressing left or right makes the Drive allmost turn the car full lock.

It's shit. Graphics are nice but it's so ricer-oriented it's not even funny. It lacks everything that made NFS awesome: police chases, city tracks, and exotic cars. Most Wanted got the series back on track and Carbon brought it back down. Looks like EA wants to kill off NFS on a low point

I played the demo, too unimpressed with it to go any deeper into it.

Re: Need for speed - Pro street
NFS has turned into way too much bullshit and far too little serious driving.
Give me PGR over NFS any day.

The game Dirt has some novel ideas on how to make a proper driving game. It is the only game I enjoyed playing thoroughly to the final race, on top of the race pyramid.
It had a number of different race types, interesting cars, great physics, beautiful tracks with no invisible barriers, and a stunning interface. I also love how the loading time is short and your various stats are animated while loading, making it seem like you never wait for a loading screen.

Hated it... Graphics suck, the things that made Carbon great are gone....

Dirt is one of the best racing games ever I think. I love that game, just feels right.

DiRT is simply amazing, hands down best racing game ever
GTR 2 is fun as well for the simulation lovers.

i gave it an honest shot and played it for an afternoon (even dragged out the wheel). but i came to the conclusion that this game is terrible.
though i did come away with the urge to buy progressive auto insurance.

Re: Need for speed - Pro street
Well, there are two "boats" as far as racing games go: the super realistic simulator and the go fast arcade.
The NFS series has been flip-flopping between the two and can't seem to decide which one to stick with.

Re: Need for speed - Pro street
problems with prostreet go deeper than genre. it's even badly made; like, even with all the detail off it gets worse frame rates than crysis. (without looking 1/10th as pretty)
Re: Need for speed - Pro street
But if it gets 5fps, then the graphics MUST be good (and subsequently, gameplay must be awesome, too).

the low framerate does ensure that the sponsor logos don't get any motion blur.
Re: Need for speed - Pro street
I fucking hated DIRT. It so pissed me off, here's this great racer, arcadish and fun with no option to race online side by side with other players. Alright, that kinda sucks so let's just play the game right? It's got this amazing crash model right? Except in order to see any truly spectacular crashes you need to be driving backwards, because going forward, it resets you almost instantly. Then there's this 150$ wheel I have sitting next to me cause it drives like shit due to poor support, just fucking great. Yeah, needless to say, I was less than impressed with DIRT.Captain Mazda wrote:DiRT is simply amazing, hands down best racing game ever

I'll wait for Burnout Paradise, pro street looks like an ass backwards game too. It seemed like a little fun, but it's supposed to be NFS, you know, drving riced up cars around cities getting chased by cops, not this crap they came up with.

Yeah PGR4 is the bomb actualy, I really love it but I doubt I'll be playing it once paradise comes out so I didn't buy it but racing motorbikes against cars is wicked fun.Don Carlos wrote:I dont like it
