Well, I'll tell you what.. i wont call your ignorince on the Subject.. but i'll leave you with this..

find me a Front wheel Drive car that has a Transfer to mate the motor to a transmission.

Sure, you Can find 4X4's with Transfer case's and gear ratio's to Amp the Torque...

i can think of a 198X or really late 197X Buick that has it, GM was fighting so they didnt put the V8 in Transverse, So they mounted it With the Longitude of the car ( usuall FR layout ) And made a "transfer case" or sorts to make the power do a 180º turn into the transmission that was sitting below it.

I would, and apparently someone produces it. I wonder how much? It looks cool :)
Looks gay, but I'd ride it if the power and handling were there.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

Oh ffs. I'm not talking specifically about transfer cases, you brain surgeon. I'm talking about the fact that pretty much every vehicle on the planet has gearing that turns 90º to the crankshaft.

I see lots of custom Harleys with that sort of open drive belt, but yeah getting your pants caught in that would definitely suck.

True... but what is the function of them? Why are those so ungodly hideous when all other bikes have semi-normal forks?

Weight shmeight, they're carbon fiber. And the reason why they look like that is because it's a completely new suspension design.
