I just finished reading the book, expecting the film to be different but still good.

Book is (fashionably) overrated but not bad.

too much paul giamiaitaitiati and a bit preachy about the importance of healthy snacking. excellent otherwise, lots of comedy and lots of action.

I saw this the other day. I thought it was excellent.

Hostage - 1/10

It starts off and moves along well and I'm thinking "fuck, this might actually be a decent movie, even with Bruce Willis in it." Well I'll be damned if it didn't turn into the most ridiculous piece of shit to hit the fan since Spooferman 3. You've got your knife-in-the-mouth rendition of a classic Bruce Willis type supervillain that takes a shitload of bullets but forgets to die. Then you've got the standard Bruce Willis slow-mo faceshots accompanied by LotRish violin music either to make you feel sympathetic or just spew your guts out at the screen. Funny thing is I told my friend it's a piece of shit even before I saw it but he insisted on visual masochism to top off the hockey night. At least now I get to beat him limp with a belt for making me watch that motion picture clusterfuck.

Fuck's sake, I'll eat my dick before I watch another Bruce Willis movie again.

How the fuck can you give something like that a 1/10, and then on the other hand, give 100/10's for shit with Angeline Jolie or Johnny Depp? The fuck is wrong with you?

Harsh Times - 6/10. Christian Bale makes the movie. Always gets into the character.

Why the fuck not? :olo:
Depp's movies are kinda...bleh, with the exception of Secret Window and PotC. As for Angelina, she's just plain gorgeous. Easy on the eyes

The Flock 9/10

riveting movie. a hollywood look into convicted sex offenders.

first richard gere movie i've liked in a long time. the film has a few flaws but the premise of the movie allows them to be forgiven.

Kind of boring, the ending was pretty lame.

AVP Requiem 8/10 This movie was awesome for a couple hours of mindless, gory entertainment. Its everything the first one should have been: the two a-lien races slaughtering each other and anyone who gets in the way in gory fashion. Its a lot more dark and grim than the first and was a pleasant surprise overall.

I am Legend

The previews overhyped the movie.

I am legend was a great movie, IMO the entire movie up until the end was interesting, ...the development of the subplot was good, and then they decided to make it into a fucking hallmark ending

The Great Raid: 5/10 Should've called it the Great Sleep...I nodded off twice. What I saw was decent in spurts, just not enough.

Eastern Promises: 7/10. Good stuff. Ending wasn't as strong as the rest of the picture. Definitely worth multiple viewings. The Viggo dude definitely got his act on.

I am Legend 6/10

Slow and cliche

Unknown 6/10

About a couple of guys locked up in a hangar and apparentely have no idea of who they are when they wake up. A lot of good actors, but bad writing maked the movie dull.

Mr Woodcock 6/10

Kinda funny, but not really.

Rush Hour 3 6.5/10

Entertaining like the prologues, but just another Jacky Chan flick.

Rescue Dawn 7/10

Christian Bale's plain get shot down during Vietnam war and he's captured and held in a Laotian camp. Interesting movie, based on a true story, but it got a lot of criticism because important facts were either made up or wrongfuly portrayed by the director.

C'est arrive près de chez vous (Man bites dog) 9/10

Classic Belgium cult movie. A camera crew follows a serial killer in his daily routine. Absolutely recommended.

Bridge to terabi..zzz..3/10

Fell asleep. Nuff said.

Tampopo 7.5/10

A classic Japanese movie basicely about eating, eating and eating. I was so craving for ramen noodles after I watched this movie, just like I did when I saw the movie 15 years ago.

Shrek 3 - 2/10 - I blinked and missed the funny. After the first two, which are quality viewing, I expected at least one joke in this one. I dont think I laughed at all. If anything, it further made me wish for them to ditch Shrek and the gang and just make a movie based on the Gingerbread man.

Yea, that is good to hear. I'd already decided not to see this one because the first AVP was so crap.

Maybe I'll check it out after all.
