It's a really fun song to play once you get used to the rhythm and finger positioning.
try playing for real. your fingers will hurt.

I got it for christmas too. Seems quite a bit easier than GH2, though. The rules for 5 stars seem much more lax. By the time today is over, I should have 5 stared all of easy and medium and made it half way through hard. I do like the soundtrack better than GH2, though.
I love playing Knights of Cydonia.

I have yet to fail a song in GH3 while playing hard difficulty. I still fail them fairly regularly in GH2...
I got GH2 a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and it took me until x-mas eve to get as far I am now in GH3 in 4 days. I think people earlier in the thread nailed it. HOPOs are much more forgiving in GH3.

I've played Expert on both games quite a few times, and I can say that GH3 is definitely easier. There are a few individual songs that are more difficult, but because the window for hitting notes was increased, the game in general is noticably easier. Add to that my skill in the game increased between GH2 and GH3, and on my first try I went through all of Expert without losing until the battle with Lou.

Speaking of real guitars, I just put a DiMarzio stacked humbucker and a Mo'Joe in my S540 and they're awesome. Unfortunately they haven't cured the wierd buzz which comes on when I touch the strings and which every guitar tech I've taken it to has denied being able to hear...

one thing i DO like about the GH series is that it's exposing a lot of good music to peeps that may not have heard it before and possibly making new fans. yes, i said it.
