A little problem.

I have a little problem.I dont have that baseq3 folder for maps and skins etc...I really want to dl new maps :rolleyes: .Could anyone help me?I havent deleted it or something,its just not there...not in my Quake folder,nor in my computer.Thanks in advantage :q3: .

it is impossible for Quake III Arena to operate without a baseq3 folder.

Well in that case, download all the maps and skins you want.

even if you some how delete your baseq3 folder once you fire up the game it automatically creates a new baseq3 folder, so you saying you dont have a baseq3 folder is kinda impossible.
you have the full game and not just the demo dont you?

Re-install your copy of quake. Make sure it installs to the default location which is c:\program files\quake iii arena\

Once you've done this you will have a \baseq3\ folder in c:\program files\quake iii arena\baseq3. If you don't, you're probably trying to install quake 3 on a toaster or something.

Once you've done this, your downloaded .pk3 map files go in c:\program files\quake iii arena\baseq3\

You need a full copy of the game. You can buy it very, very easily using Steam for about $20 (£10)

Probably not. The assumption is that if you want support for the game then you have a copy of the game.

The demo is not the game, it's a cut-down partly-functional piece of it and nothing more.
