AVI to DVD converter?

I've got a few AVI files I want to convert to DVD in order that I may watch them on a DVD player as the DVD player will not play AVIs.

See I wrote more stuff when the title was fairly self-explanatory!

Anyways, are there any free ones? Or - you know - free ones?

i use Nero Vision, or DVDSanta

Both are not free, but i'm sure you have a copy of nero 6/7/8 lying around
