XP Theme for Vista

Post by Kills On Site »

There are plenty of ways to make XP look like Vista, but are there any good themes to make Vista, primarily the start menu, look like XP?

Well that gives the classic Windows 98 style Start Menu, what about the standard Windows XP.

Well I hate how in the Vista start menu you have to scroll to see all your programs, this wouldn't be bad, except that Vista is installed on my laptop, which has no scrollwheel when I'm using my touchpad. The useful thing in the Vista start menu, that the classic does not have, is the ability to jump directly to the wireless internet connections, which is very useful as I am always switching between my dorm and campus networks.

Oh yea that thing has been around since 98 I think, but that isn't my problem. For those of you unfamiliar with Vista, the All Programs of Vista doesn't pop out and show every application at once no matter how much room it takes up like 98 or XP, it is in the boxed space provided at the left hand side of the start menu. All the programs are there, but you have to scroll to see them all.
