More problems XD

last question! Now i cant play in servers with protocol 68. I downloaded the patches. I use ase tto enter servers. When i enter a server with protocol 68 it says mistype cd key then this server runs protocol 68. Plz help Im dieing here

Okay I figured out how to get the cd key thing fixed, but honestly i can't find the problem that im having recently which is the protocol68 servers, I ve downloaded the patches. Both of them.And Put them in Quake III Arena Folder. When itry to go in the latest version (1.32) It comes up with The server uses Protocol 68 And it wont let me in. So please answer the question Sum1 xD

Something tells me that when you pull down the console, it doesn't say 1.32 in the bottom right corner.

And Put them in Quake III Arena Folder.

Don't put them there, run them and point the installers to your Q3A directory.

Bare with me..Im retarded. Ok First I Install Windows version of point Release 1.32. And When its done i double click it. At this point its A I con of a monitor and a computer.I then click next And I ve already tried keeping it at C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena so I tried changing it to where my Quake III Arena Folder is with all the junk in it...Which is C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\My Documents\Quake III Arena. And I hit Next. Then next again and i wait till its installed....And then i try to play in servers with protocol 68 and i drop down console and im still at 1.30 Any help is definately appriciated.Its unfixable

Why is your quake 3 in your 'My Documents' folder? It's not a document.

At this point, I'd suggest uninstalling absolutely everything quake 3-related that you have installed, then install q3 fro m the original CD, and the patch, and let it all go into the default folders.

So the solution is: Uninstal Quake 3 And put it back on pc and leave Quake III Arena Folder on the Desktop and Not mess with it and nstall 1.32 version of quake 3?


PS: I have the crack version of Quake III Arena and it seems to be the full game although I don't need a cd key to play But i put it in anyway... So is it all good??
