Joining servers hving a dynamic ip

can anyone tell me how 2 join non dedicated servers on a computer having dynamic ip???
how can i know which ip do i hve 2 specify?

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do You can ask the server administrator to use the service provided by http://www.dyndns.org. He/she can create a free account there and dyndns will provide a constant URL for the server machine having dynamic IP assigned by the ISP. I run my server in such a way. BTW, it does not matter if the server is dedicated or not, the problem is the same.

Hi,

It depends on how you connect to the net.

If you have a router, it probably has a hardware DDNS client which can be configured to automatically send the new IP address to dyndns (I was able to do this with my SMC Barricade router).

If you connect directly using the PPPoE protocol, than you should get and install on the server machine the appropriate utility program which updates the IP address whenever you connect to the net. There is a link to such a utility on the dyndns WEB page.

Oh yeah i hve one more question though , bout cpma:

I recently downloaded cpma 1.44(no maps).
when i run single player, after the "awaiting challenge" screen the main menu reappears.
I m not able to run any map or mode in single player.

I think you have to download the maps for cpma in order t orun single player
