Is this a trick? My Son even razzed me when I mentioned that album was right up on my Top 10. He said "Yeah, right next to Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, huh?" Most of my friends aren't secure enough to appreciate any music that might imply weakness. I only mentioned it cause of the crap I get for liking it. I'm a :dork: with low self-esteem.

I don't know who Dimmu Borgir is, but I can go from Motorhead to Divinyls to Duran Duran to Springsteen. I just get embarrassed at the laughs fer doin it. I STILL do it.

hah half the stuff people have listed isn't embarrasing at all.

for me i'd have to say
ABBA - Gold: Greatest Hits (and yes i even bump the erasure covers)
Aqua - Aquarium

and basically any of that early club trash like 2 Unlimited, Real McCoy, C&C Music Factory, Crush, etc.
hell i've even been known to play the Killer Instinct soundtrack every now and then :p

I have their new album and it is a disgrace. Bubblegum, teeny-bop lyrics (I know you want to leave me over and over again). Glenn Fry actually sounds better than Henley. The second CD is trash. One CD would have done it.

I love their old stuff and watch the Hell DVD from time to time.

....and for my own album of shame.

Michael Jackson - Thriller

I bought an iPod touch and D/L the 25 year Thriller Anniversary podcast. It's a promo piece but they played some clips from the song Thriller (Vincent Price etc) and my feet were moving. Couldn't stop. Damn - that's a well produced album.

BTW - I love this iPod Touch.

I like everything from Abba to Wagner. The only music I like that makes me feel like nursing home material is Neil Diamond. Soolaimon is a great song. The last thing on my play list is Low by T-Pain and Flo Rida, lol. I like it.

I've got ABBA:Gold somewhere.
Use your illusions I and II. Most people nowadays try to distance themselves from anything GnR related, but I still like it all.

No way! Really? You find it embarassing?
I bought the LP in 75 (still have it) and it was the first cd I bought. I know the whole thing by heart by now!

What parts do you find excruiciating?

I have a couple of Partridge Family albums I bought when I was 8 or 9, the most embarassing thing I can think of, but I still like them. ABBA as well :)

Definitely no shame in liking Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells, Michael Jackson, Joni Mitchell, and Abba. All incredible musicians, songwriters and singers.

You weren't here for the days of the epic shit threads. Jules had quite a story.

Holy shit! (pun intended) You mean that last story you posted wasn't considered epic?

Edit: To keep on topic, you don't consider an affinity for Bjork worthy of embarassment do you guys?
