GTKRadiant 1.5.0 Problem

So installed Quake 3 and GTKRadiant 1.5.0. Well Quake 3 runs perfectly fine, GTKRadiant 1.5.0 on the other hand is a mess.
It doesn't render any of the views. I don't get any error messages or anything, I can click on texture folders and it apparently loads them. Yet it displays nothing?!

Any ideas here?!

Running Windows XP SP2
Core 2 Duo E6600
2GB RAM
Nvidia 8800GT (Latest Drivers)

Hi,

As I recall I also had some problems with version 1.5.0. You should try to install the latest version of Visual C redistributable package (vcredist_x86.exe, there is a link at http://www.qeradiant.com). My problems have been solved by this step.

I'm having the same problem as him I believe, but I have GTK1.4...so does this file work on 1.4 also?

It might, but I'm not sure. On my second machine I run version 1.4 w/o the VC redist package. I have occasional crashes, but never any problem when starting the editor. It may be a good idea to upgrade to 1.5.0, it has some features not present in 1.4, and its interface is better IMO.

I would update if 1.5 wasn't such a bigass file..I'm on dial-up plus with the amount of internet crashed I get in the middle of large downloads makes me wanna kill someone half of the time :smirk:
I'm not having problems with crashes or starting up on GTK..but the textures aren't showing up on the main windows..just the lines. Like the q3dm7.map for example is just all lines and textures only show up on certain parts..or is it set up to be that way...so you see how it's built? I'm trying to read up in the documents..but in the amount of time I have to do that in, I retain half of what I just read..so I'm not getting anywhere. I'll finally make a map worth releasing when I'm the only one still playing the game. :disgust:

Why don't you post a screenshot of the editor window? Maybe we can identify the problem if we can see exactly what is displayed (actually, what is NOT displayed :D ).
