How do I change field of view in Q3?

In the console, I've tried entering:

fov "108"
cg_fov "108"

But it didn't recognize either command.

Anything else I can do?

Now I'm just confused. For some reason it worked this time. I did just reinstall. I think you have to play a round before certain options become available in the .cfg and the commands won't do jack til then. Thanks for the help
