Thats like saying how old is too old to be an artist. Of course there will come a day when you can no longer do it, but if you love doing it, the only thing that can stop you is health. Age would never get in the way.

You're too old when either your hands or your eyes don't work anymore.

Or your brain, or other bodily systems that allow you to move around and do stuff other than laying in a hospital bed.

And on the off-chance that you're asking about a career-switch (i.e. "How old is too old to start a new profession?"), I didn't do any (electronic) level design until I was in my 30s (unless you count making levels for Lode Runner), and I switched careers in my mid-30s from something entirely unrelated.

In any case, I don't see any reason why age has anything to do with any aspect of level design.

Geez, it's not like it's difficult or anything.

He is not. Check his WEB page (found in the profile).

@a13n:

I don't see how age has anything to do with level design. It depends on your interest and health condition. I am nearly 60, for example, and still playing Quake and making maps (and doing lots of other things :sly: ). And I am sure there are even older mappers around.

Well, most probably he was (could have added a smiley though). Anyway, who cares as long as his/her maps are fine? :)

Of course I wasn't. I actually thought broar was an 80 year old woman, since a picture of same was posted.

:) <--That is a smiley, for those of you keeping track.
