Make a "cool" / nice looking name? and a q about cfgs

On some servers I have seen players that have nicks that blinks or a "double" name.
ex: playerplayer with the first almost over the secound to make a "shadow" I wounder how that is done.

Both the blinking and the shadowing of the nick.
I dont know if its depends on the mods but I have seen it on Excessive Plus.

I have tried a few programs but they only have the "normal" colorcodes and not the possibility to make a nick with a shadow AND OR make it blink.

I have bought a new gfxcard so my computer is now a
OS: Windows XP sp2 PRO
CPU: AMD Duron processor (at 1102 MHz)
Memory: 640 MB
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 7600 GS 256mb DDR2

But I have a very unstable fps. 30-70fps I wounder if this can have something to do with my config. Here is a long to q3config.cfg and autoexec.cfg if someone finds time to check
it please give suggestions how to get a better FPS please post the suggestions :)

Both configs together is ~475 lines

Your CPU is a bit underpowered for this day and age but it should be sufficient for Q3. I noticed you are running at 1600x1024. What happens if you lower your resolution to, say, 1280x1024 or 1024x768? (Don't forget to set r_customaspect to 0).

PS: set com_maxfps to 125, it's the sweet spot for player movement.

True my computer is old :) my real computer is a 2.6ghz but the motherboard on that one
is fried. So it's not possible to use that one atm. I have change customwidth / height to 640*480 gona take her for a spin now. Will edit this post afterwards!

I can't help you with the nick glow colors. I think it's a mod side thing.

IIRC the text colour in hex is how the shadow is done; it only changes the colour of the shadow.
