I have not bothered watching much F1 for the last 2 or 3 years, hence the comment "I just have not seen enough of him", that is also the reason that I asked if someone thought he was that good.

I loved F1 in the Mansell/Senna/Prost era, Hill/Schumi was not quite as good, Schumi/Hakkinen became boring and nothing recently has interested me in regards to F1.

Luca de Mountainzamoolah is such a fucking douchebag. Schumacher fucking hates him and it was verrry obvious when Luca was trying to make himself look like he was such a huge part of the team when he ran out and very awkwardly tried to hug Schumi after the Italian GP in '06.
He's probably the main reason that there are rumors of Eyebrowlonso heading for Ferrari in the near future. Fuck that noise.

Well it was a cracking race to be fair - Hamilton to as composed as ever and it would appear that the lack of TC made little difference to him.

the youngins have a bit of a unique advantage; nearly all of the feeder circuits from 5yr olds racing karts up to GP2 don't have complicated electronics. Hamilton and others haven't had enough time in F1 to get complacent and rely on driver aids.

Yeah, I saw that in the super slo-mo, but it looked to me like they were running a pretty compliant setup, looked like it was really squatting into the corner. What's really amazing was Hamilton's very gleeful comment to Peter Windsor after Melbourne about him having far more fuel onboard than anyone may have suspected. That and the comparison that was made post-race between Hamilton's tire and those of two other cars. Hambone's were very smooth and evenly worn, compared to the rough, chunked, and blistered tires of the others, one of which was thought to be a Ferrari.

Anyway, GG to The World's Fastest Oompa-Loompa, and that ice cube dude, too I suppose.

you know, that's a tough one because i saw what happened and it certainly may have prevented Heidfeld from a grid position or two, but when the rules are set up as they are as regards to fuel levels at the end of qualifying, well, they HAVE to go into cruise mode after their final hot lap.

I saw the same bit, both Hobbs and Matchett mentioned that the stewards would be looking into it. Sure, they have to go into cruise mode, but they also need to get the fuck out of the way. That said, I don't think that where they were in any way held Heidfeld up. He had to alter his line slightly, but he got back on it for the entrance to the corner.
Shitty decision, imo, but it ought to make things verrry interesting.

Kimi with a great (if not boring) drive. Massa...oops. i've always known that Massa is a little bit better at qualifying than Kimi, but Kimi is better during the course of a race. Massa seems to lose concentration more often than Kimi whether from frustration or otherwise.

nice to see Kubica's alienish noggin on the podium. good to see trulli up in the points as well. that guy has the worst luck (next to webber of course).

Regarding Lewham's suspension: I don't know wtf I was remembering when I said it looked compliant. I saw footage of him going through that same corner, and yes it looks as stiff as a steel plate.
I don't think Kimi's better in the race than Massa(Kimi threw it off the track trying to pass Kovi in Oz last week), Monkey boy was walking away from Ice Pube until his first pit stop. Then it was Kimi's engineers and mechanics that got him in front of Massa. I was dozing when Massa went off, can't say why it happened, but at least he's doing it a bit less than in his first season.
Decent start for Hamilton, just not good enough. I find it very interesting that Hamilton couldn't pass Webber, yet Kovi seems to just blow past people like Alonso with ease. Heikki's impressed the shit out of me these last two races.
GG Timo Glock, turning right into Rosberg, then Rosberg has a brainfart and misses the pit entrance.

Let's hope Bahrain is a bit more entertaining.
