Moment of Truth

Post by bork[e] »

Watched a few episodes, and I must say it's one of the most predictable shows I've ever seen.

Any of you ever seen it, or enjoy it?

Mainly what I can't get over is why people would even go on the show. If you watch just a few minutes of an episode you know they touch on very personal questions. Watching a episode now where a marriage was supposedly ended.

I'm calling bs. :paranoid: $500,000.00 is a pretty little penny, but come on.

edit: If ya want you can check it out here

I watched it once and thought the questions are handpicked, I don't think the contestants have to answer to any questions they don't want, due to whatever reason.

But maybe they had to kick it up another notch and add drama to pull in the required audience to keep up float

I can't watch that show, but as disgusting as it is, anyone willing to go on it deserves all the shit they get (ruined marriage, admitting affairs, etc.) What I didn't realize until I watched the show for about 10 minutes once is that they person being questioned has already been asked ALL the questions before and when they are out in front of the crowd they aren't taking the lie detector test, just being asked the same questions they were while on the detector and choosing if they want to answer the question for money or stop. The only people I feel bad for are any young kids who see their mom on TV saying she has been fucking her co-worker while married to their dad or something like that.

I saw a few episodes. I enjoyed watching relationships and families dissolve before my eyes.

I recorded it, so I was able to skip the commercials, reiterated questions, and dramatic pauses. 1 hour down to 15 minutes.

Is that the show where people have to answer those questions with 'True and False'?... like if they cheat on their spouse and such?

let me tell you, the first time I saw that commercial I thought, "Great idea! Normal people having their lives DESTROYED on national TV. I'm for it!"

I couldn't sit through one episode of that garbage and never gave it another chance.

There was a clip on digg/reddit I watched. Some greedy bitch admitted to an affair, then lost the money. Mildly amusing.

The stupid part is what tnf said. They know all the questions that will be asked, so if they lie and lose the money they're just fucking tards. At least keep the money so you can drown yourself in booze and drugs when your friends and family disown you.

too bad you only get 1/4 of the prize money.

taxes take half
then you lose half of the remaining half in the divorce (maybe more if you're the one that cheated)
+ the kids if you're the one that put them in such a mind fuck for some small monetary gain.

The question is............

Would you be able to go on that show with your spouse or loved one?
