lol Halp Computah!
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
You mean that you have to click once to active the plugin? Been like that for a year or so, and it's like that in IE6 as well. Was introduced in a security update by Microsoft some time ago. The same goes for Java applets as well by the way.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
indeed. check adobe for SWFObject.js.
its also the only valid way to embed, nowadays.

I knew about that but since I installed vista lately I noticed that it doesn't even give me the option to activate it just gives me a broken img link
I personally cannot get ie 7 to display any flash ...

Re: flash content don't work in IE7
must mean you suck then.
if you still needed the activationclick you didnt embed it properly in the first place.

Re: flash content don't work in IE7
you and SoM should get together and remake Dumb and Dumber. I see a lot of potential.

Re: flash content don't work in IE7
that's done already ...but just in case I gave it another shot but no go.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
ah. what could help is to locate the flashplugin and delete it manually, then getting a fresh flash plugin from adobe.com.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
this thread is turning into t&t but overall I wanted to congratulate microsoft on their homo tendencies to shove things up peoples asses
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
Can you get flash content in Mozilla based browsers?
If not, shut the fuck up your ass with things shoved in it.

Are you using the 64 bit or 32 bit version of IE? I had the same problem with the 64 bit version about 6 months ago and at the time there wasn't a properly working version of Flash for it. Not sure if thats been fixed yet though.Tsakali wrote:I knew about that but since I installed vista lately I noticed that it doesn't even give me the option to activate it just gives me a broken img link

No it hasn't.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
yeah I'm running 64 ... not sure if there is a diff. between 32 -64 but for a 2 gig system it's very impressive.Tormentius wrote:Are you using the 64 bit or 32 bit version of IE? Re: flash content don't work in IE7
The OS is fine, its the browser that's the problem. On 64 bit Vista there are two versions of IE, 32 and 64 bit. 32 bit works fine with Flash but 64 bit doesn't display Flash correctly since Adobe hasn't bothered to write a working 64 bit version of the software for it yet. Hopefully they will soon.Tsakali wrote: firefox works, why shouldn't it? that's what real programs do...work

Yes, Adobe is dropping the ball on this one.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
it's been a few days and I still can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
Re: flash content don't work in IE7
Me? No. On Adobe's site they even say they don't have a version that works with 64 bit browsers yet.
