very poor :(. Folk Metal, that's where it's at.

Opeth's latest addition isn't great, but it shits on this screamo crap.

You might like Blackwater Park more, but if this 'angry virgin whiteboy music' - an apt analogy, is more your thing then it's doubtful.

where the fuck did i say that it was more my thing? my constant bashing of bit's choices of those same types of bands should put that fantasy to rest. i OWN three Opeth albums, including Blackwater Park. i was merely pointing out that Porcelain Heart is fucking gay.

It sounds like someone put Dillinger Escape Plan and Alexisonfire in a blender then stuck tabasco sauce up the singer's arse. Not bad though, since while it's not something I'd sit down and listen to I'd rather hear that than most of the generic screamo stuff out there...at least they can play...

+JuggerNaut+ wrote:it gets old, yes. the funny thing is MOST of these bands that are doing this bowel movement vocals try and sound heavy, but really aren't. you don't need that kind of vocal to be heavy. fuck, pantera will smash emotions on all these fuckers and so would slayer. they just sound like they try too hard to be super heavy but fail.

Pantera, listening to it now, is fucking weak.

Slayer, eh, i cant hate on slayer. Its fucking slayer.
