I was a nervous motherfucker last night...well it was last night for me when it was on.

Once the second goal went it, I became a rather happy fucker.

I am starting to feel totally confident about the kicking Chelsea's arse for one more trophy.

It sucks that there is no one I know here who gives a shit about football, unless it is some crappy J league.

Thread derail:

The company I'm working for are sending me to Tokyo for two weeks on Friday, what should I do with my free time?

Most of the people I'm going with will be heading straight to the local brothel and not leaving it for two weeks, but personally I'd like to get more of a cultural experience than eating mcdonalds and seeing no more than the taxi journey on the way to site. So, recommendations? any food I should try? I'm vegetarian but I eat fish, is that a strange concept over there? I'm probably going to be doing 8-8 possibly night, possibly day shifts, i'm unsure. Am I right in assuming that Tokyo is pretty much a 24hour type city and it won't matter what time I have to work and there'll be things to do and places to see no matter what time of day?

See what happens? A decent mans conversation about a mans sport, and then someone has to go and say something like "whenever you fancy". :disgust:

Your friends are probably gonna find out the hard way that most brothels are gonna turn away their non-Japanese asses, they would be better off going to Roppongi and hitting the clubs, where the locals crave non-Japanese penis.

As long as you eat fish, you won't find Japanese food a problem, I am a total vegetarian and not eating fish is a nightmare.

I recommend going to Shinjuku, Akihabara and Harajuku, they pretty much take care of all your modern Japanese culture needs.
Japan isn't that 24 hour, trains stop at midnight.

One of my favourite places is Odaiba, which has a cool monorail running there, which takes you over Tokyo bay. Yokohama is a quick train ride away, which is kinda ok in the evening.

depends what you wanna do, go drinking? see traditional shit? get pussy? go shopping?

When I can be fucked, I will send you a PM with some linkage regarding locations of transportation. The one good thing about Tokyo compared to other places in Japan, is that you can get away without speaking a word of Japanese.

Thanks :>

Upon closer inspection both the site and where I'm staying is in Shinjuku, both which look close to a train station. looks like a 20 minutes walk. From what I hear the people already there have found themselves a nice pub full of Philipino whores, so they're all set.

I'd like to try to experience a broad spectrum of Japan, a semi plan at the moment is to fuck england off, teach in Japan till I can speak and read a bit of the language, then do some course or possibly a masters in robotics. What i want to do with my life is make animatronics and where better to learn than japan? unless of course I hate the place.

If you take a train, don't just sit down like my boss did and have some over polite jap stand next to him for three hours then realize the seats are allocated by the ticket.

As I said to Doombrain, Shinjuku is a great place to be, depends where the place is as Shinjuku as a nice seedy dirty area, an a pretty classy area as well

What are you gonna teach? English?

Its all too easy to relax and settle down in Japan, the rich poor divide is pretty small, even if you are average, you have a decent enough life here. And decent scotch is dirt cheap, which is a bonus
