I give it two weeks before it falls apart. And then I'll blame Syria.Israel and Syria unexpectedly announced Wednesday the resumption of peace talks after an eight-year break, saying they have been speaking indirectly through Turkish mediators "in order to achieve the goal of comprehensive peace."
The longtime adversaries each have something to gain from the dialogue. Israel wants to reduce Syrian support for anti-Israel militants in Gaza and Lebanon, while Syria is eager to improve ties with the U.S. and end its international isolation.

Re: Goddamned appeasers
I highly doubt there will ever be peace as long as Israel exists as a country. Israel is surrounded by countries whose one wish is the total destruction of that nation.
Peace is not only impossible, but it would crush right wing hopes of an Armageddon....at least for a little while.

Hezbollah, Lebanese Government Reach Peace Deal Ending 18-Month Political Stalemate

Hezbollah, Lebanese Government Reach Peace Deal Ending 18-Month Political Stalemate
I'm definately blaming Syria for this one.Lebanon's feuding factions reached a breakthrough deal Wednesday that ends the country's 18-month political stalemate, but also gives the militant Hezbollah group and its allies veto over any government decision.
The deal, reached with the help of Arab mediators, was immediately praised by Iran and Syria, which back Hezbollah. But it appears certain to accelerate fears in the West over Hezbollah's new power.

And there is a bit of history as to why so many want to destroy the nation. But it's easier to say they want to kill everyone because they hate their freedom and religion.Hollowtips wrote:I highly doubt there will ever be peace as long as Israel exists as a country. I'd say as long as religion exists peace is impossible.

It fits into the 'god gave us this land' attitude that religion tends to espouse.Hollowtips wrote:Where does good ol' greed fit in?tnf wrote:
