Epson P-2000, a photo storage/viewer with a VGA screen. It doesn't play PSP games, it doesn't run windows, and the audio/video player capabilities are more of an afterthought... weak compared to a PDA. Only slightly better then my 3G cellphone... I purchased mine so I don’t have to buy several 2GB CF cards for my Canon DSLR, that’s what the P-2000 is best at, it has a good battery life, fast transfer speeds and the VGA screen is one of the best on the market.

UMD is an open format. There will be other systems that use it soon. Since most of them are probably going to be made by Sony and their buddies, and a good portion of them will surely be Japan-only products, odds are one of them will run on Linux. The browser and emulators running on the PSP are going through some jacked off version of the PS2 Linux, right? One could assume that they could get Windows running atop that.
I was about to buy an M:ROBE until I saw how the camera was in sense a glorified webcam. When they upgrade it to include a flash and a little more features, I'm on board.
