Upgrading QuakeIII demo

Post by UnholyGod »

Hello,
I've had some problems with the quakeIII demo recently. Apparently, it is due to my version (1.11) being too old. When I try to install the point release thing (1.32) by putting it in the same map as my old version, by clicking on it, or anything else, it doesn't work because "default couldn't load". I saw somewhere else on this site that it is due to not having the CD-rom in your CD-drive. But I don't have a CD-rom, because I have the demo. So is there any possible way to upgrade my version (if so, please tell me how I have to make it work), or can I find a newer version of the demo somewhere on the internet?
Thanks,
Unholy God

Nope. Just get the full version for like $10 on steam.
