Dunkin' Donuts has pulled an online advertisement featuring Rachael Ray after complaints that a fringed black-and-white scarf that the celebrity chef wore in the ad offers symbolic support for Muslim extremism and terrorism.
The kaffiyeh, Malkin wrote in a column posted online last Friday, "has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant (and not-so-ignorant) fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons."
And I'm sure that jihadist terrorists would just love American-branded, designer kaffiyehs - about as much as they'd love a McDonalds being built over one of their graveyards.
Its clearly an ad designed to offer support to terrorists. I mean, look at the rocket coming out of the building behind her. Clearly symbolizing a SCUD missile loaded with nerve gas....or an erect penis. My god ppl! Cant you see?!

You'd be surprised how many people (not a lot, thankfully) can still be persuaded of that with a cursory glance at the photo and a few well-designed questions.
Some people truly will believe anything and Malkins' minions are part of that group.

Okay, wait...it's NOT true?

The only way I could see anyone falling for it is if they just read about it and didnt see a pic, anyone else believing this, I dont even know what to say. I mean, women wore horrible looking scarves long before 9/11 ever happened . Even if she had it wrapped around her head and face, it would just look like a fashionable gag. Oh and Nelly would write a song about it......
Girl, howd you get your gag that way? and how much did you pay?
Without even clicking on the topic I knew that this was going to be about that. What a bunch of fucking pussies. They should have used a different approach in dealing with Malkin - maybe hiring someone to run her over.

i fully agree, but it's worrying that anyone could think rachel ray was somehow a revolutionary. that annoying bitch has "harmless bourgeoisie" tattooed on her forehead.
Yeah I guess some people missed it but it already happened. They're on the way out now. In all seriousness, a big part of it for some (not least rebellious Jewish kids) WAS expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, though it's a big leap from that to supporting terrorism.
This wasn't the first scandal either. Urban Outfitters (who donate Republican btw) caved to pressure and pulled a so called "anti-war" scarf a year or two ago.
