This was originally a Torque game engine title. Unfortunately we never found a programmer that could get the game up and running. That’s when I started looking at other engines and came across Quake III, I met a studio developing games in Quake III and brokered a deal with them. They have released one title and have another coming out, they will be handling all our programming.
We began converting the models and maps we had over to Quake III. Our big issue is lacking maps, there are around 6 that I have converted but they lack the clipping and what ever else is needed to get the AI working in them. Another issue is we have a lot of other maps and parts of maps that have never been converted from Torque, most of them were outside levels which aren’t realistic in Quake III.
So basically we need mappers to optimize and get AI working in 6 finished maps and to build more maps.
This project is an Indy project, meaning it has no funding. When the game is sold profits will be divided out based on amount of work done and the quality of work. In all honesty I don’t see a game using old technology making a lot of money so although the possibility is there, people in it just for the cash would probably be disappointed.
