Are you fucking dense? Just because these people are openly hostile it doesn't mean they're confused about what they're seeing. Also, tribes aren't exclusive groups. They interact with other tribes, swap members, marry in and out, and TALK. In talking they learn about the outside world - it doesn't mean they're playing Call of Duty 4 on their Xbox 360s. Just because they haven't taken part IN society doesn't mean they aren't AWARE of it.xer0s wrote:Well in this article, there is a man by the name of David Hill, a researcher at Survival International, a London-based group that defends the rights of tribal people worldwide. And I think he would disagree with you about there being "virtually nobody on the Earth that isn't aware of society." Let alone that these people know what a fucking cell phone is. So unless you have a title thats more worthy than Mr. Hill's, then fuck off.
Honestly, if you can't understand that I'm done.

This is pretty interesting, it's a BBC documetary about "uncontacted tribes tourism", debating how real uncontacted tribes are and if they are indeed totally isolated from the civilzed world.

Re: Pictures of uncontacted tribesmen
The biggest problem with first contact is that approximately 50% of the tribes people die within a year. This is because they are not immune to our common viruses, even the common cold can kill them.
There is only one true uncontaminated tribe that is known of. Because we have tribes that know of the outside world, not a broad understanding but a knowledge that we are there and we are advanced, but choose to stay and continue their lives as their ancestors have. Then you have the ones that know there are others out there with strange things but never seen them personally, but trade for these strange items with other tribes that have been in contact with the modern civilization.
But then there is one true tribe that remains untouched, this is due to 2 factors, the first is that they live on an island, and that keeps them isolated, the other is the fact that they love nothing more than to kill anyone that approaches. They are the Sentinelese, they live on the North Sentinel Island, off the East Coast of India. It is actually just between India and Burma (Myanmar). And unlike all the the people that live there (Asians with slanted eyes, and Indians and Pakistanies) these tribes people are black, descendants of Africans.
I had fun reading about them, and how the officials tried to get some contact with them in order to get to know their state, their numbers and way of life, but all has been unsuccessful, they are very hostile, and only sometimes accepted coconuts that are thrown to them from boats, as a sign of peace, several people died, and their bodies never recovered. There was never, any direct contact of any kind to the point that we don't even know what language they speak, or how many of them there are. The estimate is between 40 to 500. All attempts at any contact was stopped in 1990 and the Indian government recognizes them as an independent state within India, due to their total isolation and lacy of any communication.
Sentinelese are some tough tribesman, they even survived the tsunami.
