reverse engineering saturn 5 parts from the dump...lol okay...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwp6GtD6dMY

missing all high quality tapes from moon landing...okie dokie...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 02065.html

more like stalling cuz they haven't figured out how to protect the astronauts getting out of earth's orbit and on the moon and how to get back to earth(launch from 1/6 of earth's gravity)...all they know is how to leave earth's gravity, get to moon and land...i predict continued stallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...then fail..or major delay...for decades maybe...

we never went!

Err... Doesn't the fact that they're reverse-engineering the original shuttle parts kinda prove that they worked the first time?

yeah they could get to the moon...but protect the astronauts from space and launch from the moon and get back? i doubt it. remember the moon has 1/6 the gravity of earth...thats takes some strong thrust to break free...

just watch...nasa will announce they are starting over from scratch in a few years and the moon program will be delayed for decades...

Hey buddy, wouldn't 1/6 the gravity of Earth make it easier to lift off?

easier by a 1/6th but the fucking saturn 5 is 36 stories tall...so it still has to be pretty strong to break free of the moon...

Moon escape velocity = 2.4 km/s (5324 MPH)

Strangely, wikipedia lists the lunar modules delta V @ 2.2 km/s, which isn't enough.

zOMG something on the internet contradicts something else!?! wtf now?!?

It broke free of Earth. People watched it happen. Why couldn't it brake free of the Moon?

It's 1/6 th easer then getting of Earth ......................... :dork:
Specialy when you consider the fact that not the whole saturn rocket is getting of the moon, only the tiny lander.

Seriously play Orbiter, and download the Apollo addon. But first practise in the DeltaGlider until you learn orbital mechanics, because the DeltaGlider is easier for beginners to learn orbital mechanics on because it has lots of fuel and thrust power. Then play the Apollo addons, because on Apollo they had only the exact amount of fuel and thrust needed to get there and back, nothing more nothing less.

Better learn what all the MFD's below do.
