Blades of Glory single handedly destroyed Armageddon for me... I cant hear "I don't want to miss a thing" without thinking of men skating and rubbing crotches... Just wrong... Fucking awesome film though, up there with Anchorman :D

As for Mazda, fuck you don't like Pixar? What a cunt.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a panda in the bear family?

i like you dude, but your movie picks/ratings are lol at best.
Monsters Inc. is one of the worst animated movies ever made...
2/10

Dont have time to write a semi-detailed review. To make it short, all animation (which felt like it was lacking a lot in terms of design and art direction. Call me crazy if you will)
little story (monster goes through door, girl follows them, they become friends. Ok but where the hell was a lot of the character development that could have been put into the movie?)

I liked Toy Story for the character development. I wouldn't watch it again though. I would own it for the sake of having it in a collection of some sort.

Monsters Inc, no. I wouldn't even grace it with the honor of being my coaster for my coffee mug.

Just shut up. You thought a "Panda" was some sort of genus unto itself.

Aren't you a pissy moron today :olo:

Listen, if you're gonna keep up the half-assed assumptions, at least drop them in PM form, 'mkay? You're not the 'my-word-is-final' inter-jock you wish you were.

I couldn't care less what a balding Swedouche thinks (if he is capable of coherent thought in the first place). It's just funny how a simple thing like a personal movie rating has such an effect on a bunch of angry, sweaty nerds on the internet.

back on topic

I am Legend : 3/10

I might have given it a 5, because it was bad but not completely unwatchable. However since they used the title and main character of a very good and famous book, pretending that they were doing the actual story in said book, it goes down a notch from ok to really bad.

The first half of the movie is nicely done, I loved the update and modernizing of the original infection to a designer virus. That idea was well presented, the empty NYC was well done, Willy did a decent job. Everything else falls totally off the rails and sinks the movie into a steaming pile.

The creature effects were awful, I kept wondering if he was just playing an old low-budget video game where all the bland creatures look exactly the same and aren't lit convincingly. This was of course completely avoidable by just hiring some actors and putting some fucking makeup on them... i mean wtf, the darkseekers were mutated humans after all, mind as well portray them with *gasp* actual humans.

The religious "god is great, science is the devil" message was pushed a bit too hard IMO. And the ending is complete rubbish.

All they had to do was lay off the bad CG effects and use the real ending and this would have been a great movie. But no, it ends up being an utter failure.

---------
Rendition: 7/10
Very well done "the government lied to me" movie. Rese Witherspoon cost points though. This movie has dense subject matter portrayed very seriously and then she periodically pops up being irritating, unconvincing, and following a completely contrived story line.
