This is sometimes true...plained wrote:imo traveling wont enlighten an un-enlightend.
One time in Copenhagen I was walking down a busy street and overheard a group of Americans bitching that there weren't more Pizza Huts in the city....like it is back in America.

It's funny that Sezzle chest picked this thread to rain his special brand of barely post-teen angstink upon.
Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
who are you again?
Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
I'm not a giant fan of long distance traveling. Spent some time in Paris for business and the biggest experience I got outside of a great night with some friends is there's no place like home.
The dream is dead.

Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
You can tell from Jackal's posts that he's an ignorant, dull, boring cunt. This thread just confirms it.

traveling for a holiday, it's great.
traveling for work reasons, it's not great even though it takes you to some very nice places.

Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
i love seeing new things, but i hate the act of travelling. bags, tickets, timing, schedules... i do it as little as possible and as efficient as possible.

Hey, Jackal, me, too.
The major 3 reasons:
1. I feel uncomfortable to enjoy the pre-programmed deception which capitalists prepared for us at the expense of silly laboring.
2. I don't think it worthy to move around unknown area w/o practical reason which, for example, would change my life in a fundamental level.(temp. change of air is actually worthless and a waste of money)
3. There is always a risk to be a victim of chemical terrorism such as MSG, especially in Japan by Ajinomoto when I eat out.

Yes, those are all excellent reasons to stay at home.

Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
I'm not a big fan of traveling, but I don't hate it. I have no problems going through the motions fi I have to, but I always prefer the flow of normal every day life. I totally agree with the comment:
I would be very happy staying in my home state visiting family and friends only. However it's nice to have a wife that gets me out to new places and countries.
When I travel for business or training for the most part I hold up on my hotel room with some movies, takeout, and coffee. I do enjoy a good schmoozing from sales reps but I am very picky as to who I waste my valuable hotel room hours with.Jackal wrote:I want in my tiny corner of the earth and I'm quite happy with it.

I did this the other way round, in a word: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHseremtan wrote:travelling is usually boring. it's the getting there that makes it worthwhile
LAXSydney
If someone ever puts their seat that far back again I'll throw them off the plane.
That aside, I like seeing new places. I'm just pondering when next to fuck off, maybe to live, who knows.
Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
i once flew nine hours from sydney to honolulu in a lightning storm. awesome
bricks were doubtless shat by others on that flight, but i thought it was great fun

Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
11 hours from London to LA sucks a lot too
There are quite a difference between airports also. Copenhagen is kinda mellow and nice, while JFK is a fucking shithole, for example.

I was too pissed off about the ignorant fuck in front who just HAD to have his seat all the way back. There was some pretty rough turbulence on that flight too so I was having to comfort a crying girlfriend while this dick was trying to lie on me. Anywhere other than a plane and I'd have smack him, I made myself content just whacking his chair everytime I had to get up (regularly)... childish but I had little choice of anything else.
Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
going back from thailand to dutcholand was fun.. 13 hrs in a chinese plane (read: no legroom at all cause theyre so tiny) and 5, i repeat, 5 crying infants in the row in front of me.

Re: Does anyone here HATE traveling?
The longest single flight I've ever been on was from JFK to Frankfurt. But in a few weeks I'll be flying 16 hours from Dulles to Johannesburg, then another 2 to Cape Town. That should be fun. I plan to try to sleep for 8 hours of it if I can find some good drugs.

Oh, I love spiritual traveling by using a passport with the name of quality alcohol at home.
n/k, true.
I trip to my supresed unconsciousness in a daily tiresome and frustrating laboring life as a cattle.
It's the best traveling.
When I get up the next morning, the travel ends and going back to hell.
