Stroking my keyboard...

My keystrokes seem to be fuct up when I'm typing in internet explorer. If I type fast, then it doesn't pick up a lot of the strokes. I am having to type this very slowly so it doesn't miss any. But if I type in a program like Word or Notebook, then I can type as fast as I want and it picks up every key. What's the deal?

I'm on a Dell XPS M1530.

Looks like a simple restart fixed it. Hmmm...

Do a full virus and antispyware scan, and try starting IE with the 'no addons mode' thing and see if it goes away.

Smells a bit like a keylogger.

I did a system scan and it found 23 tracking cookies. I saw these on a system scan before, and thought they was just part of my browsers cookies. I dunno. I got rid of em just in case. What do you think?

They're harmless. Your antivirus definitions etc up to date?

I'd avoid doing any online shopping/banking...

definitely update/run your antivirus software as foo pointed out. on top of that, download hijackthis and post the log result but don't fix anything yet unless you're sure it's a threat. if you have a firewall, i suggest either checking the logs or (in case you let something get through prior) resetting the firewall and starting over, noting each program trying to access the net.
