Once you go in the plane, the only way out is from the top... are you doing a tandem jump? If you jump from a high altitude be prepared to have a hard time breathing for a bit after you jump out.

other than that it's real fun so long as your chute opens.

yeah I'm doing tandem as it's the cheapest/best (i think) way to do it if it's your first time, kind of annoying though as if your going to do it do it properly right? oh well, on the other hand if it all goes tits up at least someone else will be to blame, you know, I don't want people saying, "hey, did you hear joe forgot to open his chute!!?!", and I'd be all like "boy do I feel the fool"... etc...

Don't know how thing work over there, but in Norway/Europe(?) you have to do atleast 12 jumps a year to be able to jump alone. Any newb have to jump with an instructor. The figures stack, so if you fall behind for a year, then you have to do 24 jumps.

I'll never forget the sheer terror of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
I didn't breath till the shoot opened.
I don't think I could do it now tho, 20 years later. Enjoy!

the guy you're strapped to will be controlling your arms and feet even though you might not realize it, don't try and fight it. the scariest part for me was flying through the air in the plane with the door wide open the whole time and not being attached to anything.

take lots of pictures

Yes enjoy for sure.

I've never done it and now wished I did :smirk:

Closest I came was helicopter (military and civilian) light aircraft, a few passenger aircraft trips and hot air ballooning.

Nothing I would think would compare to jumping out of a light aircraft......

My son did a few months ago, and it was scary even on tera firma, just watch'n.

...but you really have to go hot air ballooning, in the right place of course. I'd love to do it over the African Serengeti.....

Actually, if you're a n00b, they give you a chute that opens automatically after x seconds. Most people count to like 3 or 5 or whatever way too fast and pull it early, thinking it didn't open like it was supposed to :tard:

Went bungeejumping once which was great... if my math is correct skydiving should be about 12 times more awesome.

Have fun :)

If I can find the extra cash, I'll be jumping on August 16th with a group of friends from work. I'm bit hesitant, which is odd, given that I'll ride my bike at near 170mph on public highways. It's a control thing, I suppose, but I hope that I can find the cash and bring myself to do it.

Whether you end up enjoying it or not - I never did - the experience is worth having. I hope you guys go ahead with it.

Then there's gonna be some brown skywriting and a lot of screaming, followed by a large greasy SPLAT.

Kudos to whoever has the balls to jump out of a plane. Must be an amazing experience but something I'll never be doing. I'd rather dip my cock in sulphuric acid while simultaneously fending off a rabid pitbull terrier than go through that.
