The first movie you saw
Re: The first movie you saw
our fallout shelter for hurricane allen was a movie theater... so on my 1st birthday we saw star wars and empire strikes back in a double-feature. Not sure what else played, but i figure that must have been the first movie experience.

when i was about 11 or 12 i discovered schwarzenegger through running man and then commando. Fucking loved commando, so next time I was at the video store, I asked the clerk if he had any more arnie movies, and he gave me predator. This was in the middle east, where copyright and age restriction laws don't really apply.
Waited till parents left the house, and then at about 10 or 11pm I turned off all the lights in the house, and sat alone watching. When it started and I saw a space shot as the opening scene, I thought the clerk must have misunderstood me - I wanted an arnie action movie not a sci fi space flick. When I realized how wrong I was, I was glued to the tv. That experience shook me

Star Wars in '77 in theater. Caltiki a couple years before that on tv.
Re: The first movie you saw
Hmm... first movie? Probably something from Disney.. Fantasia maybe? I can't remember any movie earlier than that.
Re: The first movie you saw
Mine was probably the Smurf's movie ca. 1981...

I remember......
It was 1969 or so. Double feature at the Drive In. Some of you kids may only have heard about them.
Anyway the parents went to go watch the new Clint Eastwood flick. Which one I dont recall as I was lost the whole time. To me it was boring as hell.
Then the second flick came on.
Box Car Bertha.
I was immediatly glued as boobs were showing as this chick was getting banged. I got an instant hard on and then.....
My mom said, "Bill, it's time to go home."
Guess she didn't want to watch a 18 yo girl get banged in the box car of a train.
Ok, so I didnt get to see the whole thing, nor have I gone out of my way to find it.
But thats what I remember, for a first movie.
However I suppose I should amend that.......
There was a time I was 7 or 8.....
Christmas at grandmas house, after the toys were unwrapped, a steaming bowl of oatmeal in front of me as the TV was displaying the animated version of J.R.R Tolkens, A Hobbits Tale. That movie was long for a cartoon, but it enthralled me to no end. I sat and watched it to the very end.
Great memories.

First one at the cinema I think was The Fox and the Hound, a Disney movie in 1981. The next one was probably E.T. in 1982.
First film I remember seeing on TV was Duel, an early Spielberg work, which scared me as hell, and gave me nightmares about huge trucks chasing me for years afterwards.

My first memories are of a Carebears movie. Yes, it's true.

Fuckin fag.
Re: The first movie you saw
The plot was something like the good carebears vs the evil carebears, who were exactly like the good carebears but their eyes were evil and redglowing and their acts were heinous and unspeakable... and the rotten things appeared in my nightmares for a week

You fiends clearly have no consideration for fragile minds traumatized by satanic cloud dwellers, mocking me with your blue smilies like that.
