Looking for experienced mapper to complete my masterpiece.

Post by redfella »

Hey guys... back from RL.

I posted this youtube video today to showcase all the maps I've made for Quake3. But this thread is not about the video itself but about one of the unfinished maps shown at the end of the video. Search the video from 2:40 to 3:11 to see this map called "Bombastic".

Bombastic is the last map that I worked on as a mapper. It is without a doubt my best in terms of gameplay, and perhaps a close second in terms of asthetics (looks!). I am looking for an experienced mapper to take this map and finish it. The map is about 90-95% complete. So I am guessing there is about only 10-15 hours left of work on it, maybe even less.

In the off chance that someone wants to bring this masterpiece to fruition, let me know. Obviously I will split credit for any work done.

Thanks!

So why not just finish it yourself? Seriously, short on time, and too much going on in RL is a fair excuse, if that's the case, but...hell...just spend a couple of hours once a week and it would be done in a couple of months at most.

That video of your maps shows some impressive stuff. I didn't know most of them, just downloaded them from LvL and giving them a try.

I agree with pjw that you should complete that one yourself (or maybe give it to a friend).

Last time I opened Radiant was about 3 years ago, and I just don't have the gumption to get back into it...

It really is a fantastic map though IMO. Hopefully someone will pick it up and run with it.
