So, on the subject of guns, Texas, and idiots, I was watching one of those shocking police videos shows yesterday. A bunch of armed thugs ran into a convenience store and one of them ran to the office in back and tried to kick down the door. So, this little old lady that owned the joint said that she immediately reached for the gun she kept under the counter. She literally kept it strapped to her bible with a rubber band! She said "I live by the bible and I live by the gun". Her guardian angel told her to shoot out the window, which made the thugs run away.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26393946/

Well the texas governor supports it saying ""there's a lot of incidents where that would have saved a number of lives." Insightful.

But if you want a commentary on America, check the vote results on the question about teachers being allowed to carry guns.

as of my vote, 19,500 had voted. 60% said "yes, any teacher should be able to decide if he/she needs to carry a gun."

I'm assuming most of those votes are from americans since its msnbc, and its not scientific, but it surprised me a bit.
