my little doggy had to go to the emergency vet tonight cause it's a sunday and my normal vet isn't open. she had a really swollen face/neck and she had some yellow stuff and a little blood oozing from a sore on her mouth. it didn't start swelling until this morning.
i noticed yesterday that she was itching her mouth on a lot of things but didn't think twice about it cause it wasn't swelling or anything. i noticed this morning that her mouth was swollen but figured it was just a bee or yellow jacket sting from snapping at them when she's outside.
then it started oozing and bleeding tonight so I took her in and drove like a mad man.
they don't even have a clue what it is, she doesn't like stranger's fingers in her mouth, especially when she knows she's at a vet's so they couldn't really look in there too well. the vet thought it was a rattle snake bite but i'm 99.9% sure she never got bitten by a rattle snake. so i agreed to have her stay overnight and paid over $400 upfront but agreed to pay more, up to $600 if medicine and care got that high.
they called me back and said they really don't have a clue what is wrong with her. they did a blood test and her white blood count is low, but it's not parvo. worst case scenario is that it's cancer...but it could also be easily explained by the infection in her mouth. She has a fever and they're going to put her under to look at her mouth easily and keep her on fluid to boost her immune system. That brings the estimate up from $400-$600 to $600-$1000 and it's only going to get higher with every thing they do. The money really isn't an issue, I mean it is, but I can't say, "no, I want my dog back, no more tests." at least at this point cause she's not any better and I'd be in the same boat as when I didn't take her in. So at this point it's really not an option. Plus she's my baby.
It's 12:11 am and I'm depressed and already kinda drunk. I've written two small papers though and I think I'm just gonna drink another six beers or so and fall asleep then wake up at 7 and study for a quiz for my 10:30 class. I hope my little doggy is okay.

i seem to only this when im drunk and/or depressed. i used it the most when my hand was completely fucked up cause i was pretty depressed. i get drunk a lot too though. i banned myself when my hand was better and things really are going well. i cant remember the last time i got drunk just because things around me felt like shit and i'm a coward with dealing with myself when things feel like shit and ever since my hand got better i've felt good but now is another one of those times and i just need to get drunk. i have a good job, doing well in school, have a really sweet and cute girlfriend, but i really feel like shit about my dog. i promise i'll shut up now. things will be okay. and ill go away again. but ill just lurk and be quiet now til i get her back. i want my dog back

it's 2:20 in the morning, fuck this i gotta qake up in 4 hours. I really miss her in bedc with me 
my first class of the day is speech also. I'm really, really comfortable talking one on one and with small groups of people, but I;'m like the exact opposite of really, really comfortable when i have to talk to more than about 20 people at once. im too sad to even be nervous though nigga. last post. i promise for sure. besides if i decide to say how she is. (I prob won't post if she dies or some shit)

2 grand later she's out of the ermegency vet and back with me, but still no word on what could have caused it. she seems fine but i took her to the normal vet today and she has a fever which is weird considering she's on antibiotics now and if they're working she shouldn't have a fever. i have to take her back in tomorrow morning early before work for another temperature check and to find out about the blood they pulled today.
im out about 2500 on the whole thing and my girlfriend's birthday is coming up on sept. 17 which ill probably spend about 300 on between dinner and gifts and thats almost 3000 in one month i can't afford to spend. at least my dog's better.
