Favorite Quake

Post by Reptite »

Hey, new member here :D

i can't seem to post poll here, so i just ask. what is your favorite Quake so far? mine is Q3A which is why i want to play Quake Live really bad, it's basically Q3A updated!

i own every Quake but ETQW and Live (of course Live is gonna be free though..)

Quake 1 is nothing like Q2, 3 or 4. Quake 1 is more dark and gothic, but Q3 has some gothic -inspired maps, so that's good.

The Q4 MP was good (better than DOOM3), but Q3's is so much better. something about the doom engine feels soft when moving around.

i have no say on Live until i try it out ;) looking forward to that.

I vote on Quake2 Multiplayer.
When I started to play q2, it had already been outdated.
But it also meant that there were many matured files ready to download and play, including various bots.
Actually I've never played q2 on Internet but judging from the online experience of SoF, it must have been better than q3.

For me it's the 1964 quake in Alaska, mostly because it had some supercool liquifaction action going on.

Shaft's correct. A natural disaster combined with America's pastime AND the A's end up winning it all cause the Giants are a bunch of sissies.

I'm going with that being my fav as well.

Oh, I'd have to go with the Big One of '06. Anything that levels San Francisco has my vote.
