Persian tears

tears don't have nerve endings (or even nerves), therefore cannot be sensitive (or insensitive)

According to Queensryche;
"Raindrops taste like tears, without the pain."
This may infer that tears feel pain. If they feel pain, they must possess nerve endings. Why would Tate lie? Possibly he was referring to him not feeling pain while tasting tears and raindrops...but, I don't think so. I have tasted pain before, and that is all I'm saying.
