Downfall. Finally got around to seeing this, and what an excellent movie. Bruno Ganz is spectacular.
Also the girl playing Traudl is a hottie.

Snakes on a plane. 2/10. wasn't even good in a tongue-in-cheek-b-movie sort of way, was just plain dogshit. had tits in it though
Re: The last movie you saw
Cellular. 3/10. Kim Basinger's acting is almost as bad as Jason Stathams accent.

Thanks Andy. I thought so to but just haven't and now won't attendandyman wrote:Journey to the center of the earth
this is so horrible a movie, it doesn't deserve a rating.
Me. Well just watched Event Horizon
I know it has been out for years (1997) and I've no doubt seen it before but it is the last movie I saw

Great sci-fi horror stuff 8/10

Rocknrolla - Starts off really bad, then gets moderately enjoyable towards the end.

1408 - 5/10
Had its moments. More of a fucked up psychotic flick rather than a scary movie. Wonder what the screenwriter had smoked.

Pulp Fiction - 10 / 10
It's been years since I've seen this and I just saw it again when the local theatre played it this weekend.
Still one of the most brilliant movies I've ever watched. Extra points for Travolta wearing a UCSC shirt. (I've lived in Santa Cruz my entire life)

Apocalypto.
Was really quite good, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the story was being told in a conventional Hollywood manner.
I suspect that Gibson's trying to hide this behind the supposed authentic dialogue.
But thoroughly enjoyable all the same.
I also watched Pan's Labyrinth this weekend, and that was bloody brilliant. The closest comparison I can make is Jacob's Ladder.

Sweeney Todd - 6/10
Although I generally do like Tim Burton, I just can't see how people can appreciate musicals. I mean, wtf is the deal?

Just watched Once Upon a Time in the West again, and it's still one of my favourite films ever.
Superb performances and dialogue all round, with one of the most iconic opening sequences in cinema history.
And does Charles Bronson blink at all?!?

That opening sequence always makes me laugh.

No one has seen Religulous yet? I'll have to make the time this weekend.

Iron Man
Really enjoyable.
Downey jr. is perfectly cast. His sarcastic presence makes all the ridiculousness of superhero bullshit palatable.
