I pre-ordered it on PC just 'cos it'll run quicker from hard disc and my Mac is connected to the telly anyway.... But ffs, ign gave Halo 3 a nine point whatever and that was a shitty single player game.

Eurogamer's review: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=270173

They gave it a 10/10. That doesn't happen very often.

I pre-ordered it at a local Hasting's video store. They had a midnight release party for it, but I can't stay up that late. Dropped in this morning (yea, I'm not at work, but not for this game unfortunately - long story...) anyhow, there was a sign on the door that the midnight release was delayed due to shipping problems. Went inside to see if they had any copies this morning - they had about 200 pre-orders (that seemed awfully high), they got 3 copies of the game. Picked up one of them myself. The phone was already ringing with people asking if their copy was in. Manager said it was going to be a long, long, bad day dealing with all the people who won't get their copy until Thursday.

Anybody know if Dogmeat really can die? I seen him get lit on fire, blown up, and all sorts of shit. It didnt look like he took any damage.

Yes.

I discovered that he regens his health after combat. They must have changed the way it works and forgot to remove the feature that lets you use stimpaks on him.

Kinda overwhelmed by how huge it is... right now i'm just running around exploring and doing little sidequests... and constantly running out of ammo. Maybe that's because my guns of choice make gratifying noises so i like to shoot them, or maybe i just suck at aiming.

Anyway, cool game, so far. Imo.

And doomer, where is that guy with the dog?
