The US Election Thread

Post by PhoeniX »

Seeing as though whoever you Americans choose will affect the rest of the world let's see how you would all vote. Some other forums I post on (UK based) is currently at around 91%/9% in favour of Obama which is fairly interesting.

You may as well keep all the election stuff from tomorrow in here as well.

We ought to put the ongoing election stuff in here: http://www.quake3world.com/forum/viewto ... =1&t=38608

So's we can call people out when Obama wins by a landslide.

...or people can call me out when values voters write-in Palin for president and she beats McCain.

i voted for your poll, btw, but i'm fairly certain your results will be a little skewed here due to trolls who are tired of hearing about politics. :p

Oops, I missed the other thread.

Yeah I have no doubt the poll will get skewed, but nevermind :p.

Well, with a few hours before the final day of voting, intrade has Obama @ 91%, 538.com @ 98% and just about every site has him getting about 350 electoral votes.

Is it possible for the Republicans to rig US election again like in 2000?

P.S. the US voting system sucks. Incredible how much power you give to small 'swing' states. Doesn't compute, errrrror.

I always vote absentee even when I'm not absentee. Gives me a boner.

btw, the "ground game"...I live in the middle of nowhere and I've received about 5 different RoboObama calls in the last week and more than 3 personal calls from the local Obama campaign office. This sumbitch is out to win.

I found this rather amusing, the 20 greatest campaign ads: http://www.nerve.com/dispatches/nerveed ... asp?page=1

Especially the Ike one
And shit, someone should have remade that attack ad on Spiro Agnew to fit Sarah Palin.

FFS.....that's retarded. On election day here in Canada a few weeks ago I walked into the polling station, a volunteer pointed me to the station that had the least amount of people at it and I voted (on a paper ballot) in no time flat.

I was in and out in 2 - 3 minutes.
