Yeah I don't know what's worse... Palin's ignorance or Bill-O trying to defend her.

and now it all comes out

the sad part is that there are a lot of people - like bill'o - who will still try to defend her, not just as a person, but as a choice for vice president.

Bill saying that the vp candidate can be tutored to learn geography....and then asks whats the big deal? Not a big deal that a potential leader of the free fucking world doesn't know that Africa is a continent?

I haven't seen him in a long time and had forgotten how patently stupid that motherfucker can be.

OMG.. just omg... how old does he think she is? 5th grade? Didn't she go to school or something? Maybe she spent most of it playing hooky with her beau? :paranoid:

If that tantrum stuff has truth, the door closes on the question of her competence.

Despite what others may have argued as some minimal defense, she doesn't seem to be that politically savvy. Almost certainly less so than W., and perhaps less informed to boot.

What's the big deal? We can teach the VP what countries make up North America after she's in office. She's under enormous pressure, after all.

I really don't understand how O'Reilly can just skip over the fact that an adult women does not know that Africa is a continent, simply stating that she can be "tutored". When you are 40+ and still don't know how the world looks like, you are beyond tutoring, let alone being fit for vice-president. That's ridiculous.

Don't forget to breathe. Your brain seems small enough to forget about it.

hmm, is it just me or does it seem ridiculous to continue fueling the effigy of the losing party, then pile petty foolishness of third-party accounts to the mess?

In 99% of circumstances I'd easily agree with you, but the world can still turn crazy so I think it prudent to keep talking about how wrong they've been about everything and ensure they continue to be ridiculed so they don't come back anytime soon. The world won't improve if these people continue to be treated with anything that resembles respect.

Just to clarify my statement: Fuck em.

Are you guys kidding? Some people in the GOP have said they want her to lead their party. She may be vying for Ted Stevens' Senate seat soon, and she may be trying to run for president in a few years.

Why would we not want to know this stuff?

I agree that having an anonymous source isn't ideal - but this isn't like talking about her clothes. This is evidence that she doesn't have any knowledge - or even curiosity - of the world.

In other words, she seems even worse than Bush in that regard. And if she runs for national office, she'll be groomed and tutored (lipstick on her pig), so if we didn't find out about things like this now, we probably wouldn't. And they're fairly important pieces of her character and personality.
