I don't get it. WE live in a Democracy, we have a vote and then those who lost are in an uproar. Also, these people try to link their Lifestyle choice to racial discrimination? LOL! Black people don't even believe that crap and voted 70% against Gay Marriage. So why are these people acting like Liberal socialist fascists? They beat up an old lady holding a cross? I am about to go find where these protesters are and toss some balloons filled with piss at em, unfortunately their kind might actually like it...lol. So, what do you people think about it?
I had to rewrite this post 10 times because if Im not so called "civil" and get "passionate" it will get deleted and a superimposed statement from the munchkins of Oz will be present.

This is an issue people will look back on in 50 years and shake their head. NO ONE has the right to tell two consenting adults what they can and cannot not do with their lives. If two men or two women make a commitment to build a life together, the government has no right to deny them the legal benefits of that decision. There's separation of church and state for a reason.

I'm going to try and explain this to you. You dig the whole concept of inalienable rights?
If the U.S. decided to have a new vote on the enfranchisement of African Americans and 70% of Americans decided blacks should have the vote taken away from them, would you be okay with that?
If 70% of Americans decided that blacks shouldn't have the right to get married, would you be okay with that?

Get it now?
Perfectly said.

Civics fail.
USA is a federal republic, not a democracy. Legislation is designed to have limited power to prevent the tyranny of the majority. That means a vote on a referendum or constitutional amendment does not make it legal just because more people support it than oppose it.
Gays have every right to protest. Instead of being worried about their reaction to the vote, perhaps you should be concerned about your own disturbing idiocy.
