MacBook Pro is nice but a bit too big for my taste I'm going to order the new 2.4 GHz MacBook with 4 GB of RAM next week. My employer participates in the Apple EPP, so I pretty much get the RAM upgrade for free. It would be the first time that I'm going back to Apple since I had the very first Macintosh back in 1984. I will probably just use Boot Camp and put WinXP on there. I've been thinking whether I should use it for work as well, since my cheap-ass employer isn't in a hurry to replace the crappy laptop they gave me Also, I'm going to pick up an iPhone 3G at the same time

Yea I have hardwaregrowler and growltunes setup. I passed quicksilver the first time but every single person tells me to get it so I guess I'll give it a try.

I've got so used to using Quicksilver, I find it hard using Macs that don't have it installed.

On the same site, there's also a really nifty little Terminal mod that makes it behave like the Quake command line, so that when you press a key, the terminal comes down. It's called "Visor".

I use FireFTP on my Mac, although there is a Mac Filezilla client too.

Colloquy IRC client so you can hang out with the rest of us on IRC.

Oh, you may also want to install Evernote. Just drag and drop photos, notes, web pages, PDF files, etc. and it will automatically index everything for fast search retrieval. It will actually read text info off of images and index those words too. For example, take a photo of a business card, drop the photo into Evernote, and search for it later by the name on the card in the photo.
