ps. I told a yank to shut up yesterday, and he did after going bright red. lol.
The only reason he didn't sock you in the mouth is cause the dress confused him. :smirk:

tnf wrote:Since yesterday morning. Has gone on pretty much nonstop, I think we broke the 24 hour record we had set last year. Odd, we went so many winters here without shit for snow, and then last year end up with well over a foot on the ground, and now we've beat that in one day...and 4 more inches are still expected today. My camera was supposed to arrive by UPS today, but I don't see it happening. :(

Yesterday was a complete clusterfuck driving home. Going up a hill there were all sorts of cars stuck halfway and having to try to back down the hill or turn around on it...not easy with a lot of traffic. I weaved the WRX through all of them (I love subaru awd) and left a group of about 8 cars stuck behind me and didn't see one of them make it to the top of the hill in the entire 2 minutes I sat at the light at the top of it. (one guy was really pissed off because I cut him off and he lost his momentum, so he got stuck, but it was every man for himself out there.) City is pretty much at a standstill - no city buses, no nothing. I know how I could have prevented all this snow, too. If i would have bought the $1000 snowblower we were considering, I am certain we wouldn't have had one fucking flake.

Anyone else dealing with insane winter weather?

Where are you at? My folks are in iowa now and say its been snowing non fucking stop.

I am in northeastern Washington.
Here are some pics from this morning after I dug out (the plows came and blocked everything in...some good samaritan with a big snowblower did the sidewalks today, saving me having to break up a few hundred feet of ice and snow).

Had to clear out a path from the sidewalk.

Jesus tittifucking christ we have gotten 6 more inches since last night. Tuesday is supposed to be a break, and then Wednesday into Thursday is supposed to be a 'significant storm with accumulations above 5-6 inches' or something.

Here's the great shit -we are supposed to drive to southern Idaho (Boise) tomorrow. The freeways are covered in packed ice and snow for about half the trip. 7 hour drive in good weather, probably will be 10-12 with what we are dealing with. All to visit my wife's sister and her husband for the high holidays. I'm inching towards saying we aren't going to go because I'm not putting our lives at risk by driving on the freeway in this shit - its not me I worry about - its the dumbfucks who you see careening down the road sideways because they went too fast on the ice. If I do say no-go on the driving, I'll probably be getting a divorce because my wife is going to be fairly pissed off. Hrmm.

I like snow, but this is fucking nuts.

i dunno about your area tnf, but here there's hardly anyone on the road with all this snow so it might not be as bad as you think with retarded drivers out there.

we've actually gotten about 8-16 inches of snow around here depending on where one lives. it's the most snow i've ever seen here in my 20+ years of living. it's actually a pretty big fucking mess because we got about 2-4 inches of snow, then a 1/4" of freezing rain and then finally another 6-8 inches of snow on top and still counting. in a city that usually only sees an inch or two of snow a year that melts within 24 hours this is bizzar; just about everything is shut down.

We were gone from Tuesday until today, got back to 9 new inches of snow and a plowed in driveway (about 3 feet of chunks of ice to break up after an 8 hour drive on foggy icy freeways with rocks hitting your car from other drivers and an accident on the freeway just outside of the fucking city making the last 10 miles of your trip take 1 hour....2 hours of shoveling after the drive...good fucking times...)

And more storms are on the way this week - tomorrow it is going to be 34, which means we'll get a nice mixture of rain in all this too. Going to be a real sloppy mess then.

78 and sunny here again. I love it. I used to get the 4 foot snow drifts when I lived in Colorado, so I know what it's like. But I like this a lot better.

5 new inches on the ground this morning.

Supposed to hit 34 today, so there is rain expected for the evening and night, making things a nice slushy mess.

Then the next week it drops back into the 20s and we have about 3 storms lined up. This is getting old and we are running out of places to put snow.

When I lived in St Maries, we'd have about 4 feet of snow fer 3 months. This shit is just starting in north east Washington. Ha! :olo:
