You guys still here?
You guys still here?
Hello, how's everyone doing?
I'm fine, thanks for asking. What's new? Same ol', should finishing university in August. We bought a kitten two days ago, Siamese female, she's really nice.
Anyway, I might be moving to the states after I graduate, if I find a job there. Can you guys please share some knowledge about the weather in the summer and winter, and about the general living conditions in the city that you live in, perhaps other cities too? I've only been to Philadelphia, the winter there is acceptable, around 0C is considered cold. Its around -20C in Montreal this week, really sucks.
Thanks!

Please explain to us the difference between -10C and -20C.ToxicBug wrote:Its around -20C in Montreal this week, really sucks.

Re: You guys still here?
-20C is colder than -10C. Anything else you need?
Re: You guys still here?
Austin, TX
mid-summer it's often around 35-40C, winter highs will be 10-15C with occasional daily highs as low as 0-5C when a good cold front goes through. long story short, summer is unbearable and winter is very pleasant. lots of hippies though.

Re: You guys still here?
I've spent years in several states on the east coast (particularly New England) and can say the winters are a bitch. Cold and windy and prone to big storms every few years.
It's currently -22 outside here in VT without the wind and there's a few feet of snow on the ground. Of course, I doubt you'd want to find a job in VT.

Re: You guys still here?
Ohio has a pretty solid balance with four well defined seasons (although they tend to forget what time of the year it is and we end up 60F when a day earlier it was 30F). Winters don't drop too far bellow 0F and usually sticks around 30F. Summers can go over 100F but 80-90F is the norm. Fair to low amount of rain. We do have to worry about tornados but they aren't so bad here.
Oh and grats on having a nice cat. Mine is a fucking asshole.

NYC area here, it's currently -8ºC, feels like -14ºC. Summers range from comfortable to fairly hot (30ºC-35ºC generally)
Re: You guys still here?
