Hi TB. What happened to your plan of joining the Canadian Forces?

I joined the reserve as an infantry officer, completed two phases of training in Spring and Summer 2007. Then I decided to switch to armored recce, but the armored regiment absolutely wanted me to go on a 2.5 month "phase 3" course in summer 2008. I couldn't go since I wanted to do some professional exams so that I could find a job in my field when I graduated.

In the end, I'm currently in the process of releasing from the forces (since about half a year now, I don't have time to bring back my army kit). I passed three SoA exams (FM, P, and C) in the span from May to November 2008, so releasing from the CF was definitely worth it, it was taking up too much of my time.

And whats new with you guys here? Who moved? Who got married? Who got kids?

Well we went from one extreme to another here with about 60 inches of snow in december...then it got warm (right after I got a snowblower) and we were at 48 degrees and haven't had a day where the high temperature was below freezing for the last 2 or so weeks. Snow level has dropped by about 2 feet, the way this is going it won't snow again all winter. Crazy.
