ICH9R or ICH10R

Post by AmIdYfReAk »

Lo gents,

I'm looking between two boards, And i was dead set on getting the ICH10R board, but then on a few sites i saw benchmarks that the I/O on SATA and USB was Lower on the 10 vs the 9 series..

I'm wondering if anyone else heard anything about this, or if it actually holds a bit of water.

thanks.

Link please? Everything I read (quick google search) says that they are more or less the same, except ICH10R is a die-shrink and supports a few extra gizmos like more USB's and faster ethernet. Nothing about it being slower.

Sorry about that, moment of weakness, they where working with the Pre-production boards.. they had notes at the end that said they Fixed the I/o issues that they where having..

between the two of them, they work within ~1% of each other... so i'll be getting the board I've had my sights on for a bit :)
