I can understand why they would attack me, and I would only kill the people that attacked me, (even in normal life, if someone attacks me or my family I have the right to defend myself/family regardless of the why/what)
So, if you reverse the situation... If it were another family that moved in to your neighborhood, and you were the one violently forced from your home and made to live with another family... If there were no courts to hear your arguments, would you have a right to violently take back your home yourself?
If so, it seems as if everyone in the conflict is acting out of self defense, and so ad infinitum. I'm not sure I'd agree with that, but if that were true, then who is the rightful owner of your former house? Isn't that really the most important question in this kind of dispute?
That will continue to be the root of your problem with your new neighbors, long after the house has been demolished - probably even more so in fact, since that takes away any chance that you could ever return to it. Even after you're dead, your children will have the same attitude toward the occupiers that you had.

how long is it now since a suicide bomber has hit a school bus or shops.
Israel fears this and is acting out of self defence to stop it, I admit it's not the best/humane way but the only way as I can see it.
and yes, I wish they would stop building the settlements in the west bank, as I've said before they're causing lots of problems
But isn't the entire state of Israel just one big settlement? If you thought Israel was just one big settlement, would you feel the same way about it that you would about someone being forced from their home?

You're right. I'm going to go back to 1967 and tell the Arabs in Gaza not to let Israel attack Egypt, so that they won't be occupied for the next 42 years. I'm sure that's no problem.

That may be an isolated incident, but working on the assumption that Israel is indeed a democracy, non-resident non-citizen jewish individuals ought not be privy to more information than the general populace of foreign nations when it comes to internal geo-strategic planning. They pay no taxes and are due no special representation by these state officials.

Conversely, Israeli immigration policy operates with a bias towards foreign jews seeking residence and eventual citizenship within the country. This is unique among developed nations; others choose to limit or encourage immigration on the basis of state relations rather than race, heritage, color, or creed.

My contribution to this thread will be this Uri Averny article:

I'm so tired of the whole Palestinian-Israeli mess. It's so blindingly clear that this whole recent conflict was a 100% politically motivated ploy to put the Obama administration under pressure from day one. It's so painful how the Palestinians are still incapable of organizing meaningful & effective (ie peaceful) resistance and insist on throwing proverbial pebbles at the bear. It's so frustrating to see the rest of the world repeat the same tired arguments for their support for Israel instead of fixing the goddamn problem. Think i'll just ignore the whole thing from now on and stick to refusing to buy Israeli products to soothe my conscience.
